Reonel (Ray) Rafols is a Filipino-American violinist with a Bachelor of Music from Florida State University and a Master of Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He has performed at major venues across the US and UK, including the Barbican Centre, Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre, St. John’s Waterloo, and Milton Court Concert Hall. His collaborators span genres and include Anne Akiko Meyers, Angela Hewitt, Johannes Moser, and Chaka Khan.

Blending classical training with improvisational flair, Ray is active on London’s jazz and contemporary music scenes as a jazz violinist and vocalist. He leads Fidelio Hot Club, a European jazz-inspired ensemble that recently debuted on BBC Radio 3. Alongside performing, he is a committed educator, teaching privately and in public schools, and working to expand access to quality music education in diverse communities.
